Muddle Earth is a book for children written by Paul Stewart. It was published in 2003 and was illustrated by Chris Riddell. It is mostly a parody of The Lord of the Rings.

The first part of the story, Englebert the Enormous, was first adapted to television by the BBC in Jackanory. It was then again adapted by the BBC into a full animated TV series in 2010 (commissioned in 2009), with David Jason as the voice of Randalf.
